Phase 10 for Learning Connections (LC) was a very successful year for educators. This year, 15 school districts from across Ontario participated in sharing, collaborating and professional learning. This is a growth of four additional districts in LC. District Champions aligned their work with Board and School Improvement Plans with a focus on the effective use of technology for the improvement of literacy and numeracy instruction. In addition to the 15 individual district projects, 6 District Champions were also involved in 3 multi-district projects.
As a new initiative, LC supported three multi-district projects each involving two districts collaborating and working together. The purpose of these new projects was to: provide unique opportunities for teachers to work with and learn from their peers in other districts; build upon and deepen the collaboration and sharing currently occurring within individual district LC projects; and open up possibilities for students from different districts to work together.
